Categories: Spare Parts, Programming

This LM393-based light detection module uses a high-quality light-dependent resistor (LDR) and voltage comparator to detect ambient light intensity. It is ideal for Arduino and other microcontroller projects.

Quick Overview:

  • 4-pin LDR module
  • Operating voltage: 3.3–5 V DC
  • Digital output indicator LED
  • Adjustable sensitivity via onboard blue potentiometer

Description:
The module features an LM393 voltage comparator that provides clean digital output signals with strong driving capability (up to 15 mA). It can detect ambient light levels and adjust the sensitivity according to your needs.

  • Digital output (DO): High when light intensity is below the set threshold, low when light exceeds the threshold.
  • Analog output (AO): Provides precise light intensity values when connected to an ADC module.

This module can be used to drive a relay directly, act as a photoelectric switch, or monitor environmental light changes.

Interface Pins:

  • VCC: Positive power supply
  • GND: Ground
  • D0: Digital output
  • A0: Analog output

Features:

  • Sensitivity adjustable via potentiometer
  • Compact 4-pin design with mounting holes
  • Digital output (DO) and analog output (AO)
  • Compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers
  • LED indicator shows the output status (ON in low light, OFF in strong light)
